This year's National Book Critics Circle finalists include Hampshire College professor and poet Aracelis Girmay. Described as a young newcomer , Girmay divides her time between Western Massachusetts and New York City. She has a passion for teaching poetry especially to students who might otherwise not find their way to the genre.
