Jay and Delene Holbrook scoured Massachusetts city and town hall basements and many dusty vaults for years making micro fiche records of previously unarchived documents, like birth, marriage and death certificates. They sold parts of the collection  to genealogy libraries, pubic libraries and to academic institutions like Harvard and Yale. Last week Ancestry.Com announced it had bought the entire archive. Jay Holbrook says that the records go from the early 1600's to about 1920.
