Three Dead, Some 140 Injured in Explosions at Boston Marathon
Three people are dead and at least 140 injured after a pair of bombs exploded near the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Boylston Street. Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis said a third incident occurred later at the John F. Kennedy Library and Presidential Museum. He said the police originally treated the events as related, but later said the incident at the Kennedy Library was an "incindiary device or a fire." He says the Kennedy Library incident has not been directly linked to the explosions.
Davis has not yet called the explosions a terrorist attack. He says people looking for family members or friends can call 617-635-4500 and anyone with information about the explosions should call 1-800-494-TIPS.
