Berkshires Working To Become 'Trauma Informed,' And A Look Back At 2018

Dec 21, 2018

There's an ongoing effort in Berkshire County to look at how trauma is dealt with, in areas including education and law enforcement.

"Trauma-Informed Berkshires" joins a national trend of communities that preach awareness, empathy and patience in the face of severe economic, social and psychological stress. And one elementary school principal said student behavior issues can sometimes be traced back to a traumatic event in the child's life.

Also, with this being our final roundtable of 2018, we decided to take a look back at the year that was. We ask our panel about the biggest stories in our region in 2018, and stories that didn't get as much as attention as they should have. And we look ahead to what stories we could be talking about in 2019.
