Half a year since the opening of the MGM casino in Springfield, Massachusetts, some mental health counselors are seeing an uptick in gambling among clients — though not necessarily an increase in people seeking addiction treatment.

A federal agency decision not to approve a new tribal casino in East Windsor, Connecticut, is reportedly under investigation. A representative of the Mohegan Tribe said he's not surprised. 

State lawmakers are taking up several gambling related bills, including ones that would expand sports betting and another on a proposed East Windsor casino.
