Small and midsize Connecticut aerospace companies are once again planning to make their presence felt at Europe’s largest air show this summer. 

Three major insurance companies that have called Hartford home for more than a century are helping bail it out of financial trouble. Aetna, Travelers and the Hartford Financial Services group have paid the city $10 million this fiscal year, the first of five installments the companies have pledged to pay over the next five years.

Seven years ago, getting into carpentry wasn’t even on Tyeka Robinson’s radar. She was a single mom struggling to make ends meet.

Massachusetts U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren joined a Colorado Republican on Thursday to roll out federal legislation that would resolve much of the tension between the federal prohibition on marijuana and the growing pot industries in states that have voted to legalize marijuana.
