A Cambridge, Massachusetts, man has been charged with offering $500 to anyone who would kill a federal immigration officer.

A woman has been hired as top editor at The Daily Hampshire Gazette for the first time in the paper's more-than-230-year history.

Right-wing talk show host and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones is seeking more than $100,000 in court costs from the family of one of the victims of the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. Jones has repeatedly claimed the shooting was staged and is facing multiple lawsuits from victims’ families.

On Point, WBUR’s syndicated weekday talk show, will hit the reset button with two new hosts.

Meghna Chakrabarti will be the voice and face of the national two-hour morning program Monday through Thursday. David Folkenflik will host on Fridays. Both will start the week of Aug. 20.

Prolific New England author Stephen King’s creepy storytelling is fueling a new streaming series that debuts Wednesday on Hulu. “Castle Rock” is set in Maine, but it was largely shot in the central Massachusetts town of Orange and in Devens at the region’s only film production studio with sound stages.

Folks in Orange are hoping for more than big scares with the arrival of this high-profile thriller. Some see the new series as a game-changer for the community, and the state’s film industry.
