MGM Springfield is trying to figure out how to keep people under 21 from getting onto its casino floor.

A federal agency decision not to approve a new tribal casino in East Windsor, Connecticut, is reportedly under investigation. A representative of the Mohegan Tribe said he's not surprised. 

State lawmakers are taking up several gambling related bills, including ones that would expand sports betting and another on a proposed East Windsor casino.

Topping the short list of news this week is Springfield police commissioner John Barbieri's retirement from the post. The move comes amid fresh accussations of police brutality and several officers facing state and federal charges.
