Vault Sessions

The Vault Sessions features intimate video recordings filmed live at NEPR's space in downtown Springfield, Massachusetts. The series features local and national musicians playing a short set in front of the architectural centerpiece of the station's headquarters - a room-sized vintage bank vault.

The Vault Sessions are produced by Kyle Homstead of Laudable Productions, with support from Aerial Camera Services, Julian Parker-Burns and microphones by TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik.

Singer-songwriter, Hayley Reardon stopped by New England Public Radio to share a few songs on the Vault Sessions. At 21 years-old, Reardon has a surprising richness and depth in her voice that pairs seamlessly with the stories of her songs.

On the NEPR Vault Sessions, Ramu Pandit (tablas) and Rabindra Narayan Goswami (sitar) are two of North India’s most revered classical musicians, who weave musical motifs into melodic tapestries called “Ragas”.

Experimental folk artist and composer Sam Amidon stopped by New England Public Radio today to share a few songs off his latest album, The Following Mountain on the Vault Sessions.

The Vault Sessions made its debut on Thursday with an acoustic set by Matthew Szlachetka, a Nashville-based musician with roots in western Massachusetts. Szlachetka's Americana aesthetic was recently highlighted in Rolling Stone where he was featured as one of the magazine's "ten new country artists to know in 2017."

He plays The Parlor Room in Northampton, Massachusetts on Saturday, April 29.
